I finally got the results back from my back scans, and it explains why I have been in so much pain. Basically, one of the bones in my lower back (called the L4) has slipped forward over the one below it. This is causing the tunnel where my nerves live to get way too narrow. It is actually pinching the nerves that go down into my legs, which is why they feel so heavy and cramped lately.

The doctor said the fluid around my spine is almost blocked at that spot. It sounds pretty scary, but at least now we know what is going on. I have to watch out for things like my feet getting weak or feeling numb in certain spots. I am definitely going to talk to a spine expert soon to see what we can do to fix this. It is a lot to handle, but I am staying strong and taking it one step at a time here in Wildwood.
