Understanding the foundation of the Moran House is a great lesson in historic Southern architecture. Like many older homes in Tennessee, it was built on a solid pier and beam foundation. This smart design elevates the house entirely off the damp soil, protecting the wooden framework from rot and allowing cool air to circulate underneath the floorboards. Maintaining the heavy masonry of those brick support piers is a vital job that Richard always took very seriously to keep the entire house perfectly level.

Here is another picture of me and hanging out in our kitchen in Wildwood, Missouri back in late June of 2018. I was still wearing my funny blue t-shirt and that bright pink hat with the heart on it. He stepped into the frame right behind me for a quick picture, wearing his glasses and a dark blue shirt. He looks pretty serious in this shot for some reason, but we were honestly just having a relaxing summer day at home together. It is always great to look back at these simple, everyday moments from our life.

Here is a great, casual picture of me just hanging out in our kitchen in Wildwood back in 2018. I love this shot because it is just a simple, everyday moment that perfectly shows off my fun personality. I had on my bright pink hat with the little heart and a hilarious blue t-shirt that says "I LIKE BIG MUTTS" across the front. I was just holding a pillow and relaxing by the counter when took this. It is always the quiet, normal days at home like this one that end up being some of our absolute favorite memories to look back on.
